Governance & Standards

CSI Certification Policy 2.0

This policy governs the award, maintenance, and recognition of all CSI certifications effective January 2026. It applies to all candidates, enrolled participants, and certified professionals across the four active CSI certification programmes: CSCE 2.0, CSP 2.0, CSL, and CCSO.

§ 1 - Eligibility

  • CSCE 2.0: Open to all security practitioners. No formal prerequisites - designed as the entry point to the CSI certification pathway.
  • CSP 2.0: Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in security or a related discipline required.
  • CSL: CSCE 2.0 or CSP 2.0 preferred; applicants without prior CSI certification are subject to CSI review and approval.
  • CCSO: Minimum 3 years in a senior security leadership role; CISSP, CPP, or equivalent recognised qualification preferred; all candidates subject to CSI review.

§ 2 - Assessment & Award

  • CSCE 2.0: Group scenario-based assessment. Evaluation is based on practical performance and collaborative problem-solving across 7 modules. No written examination. Award: CSI Digital Certificate and verifiable badge (3-year validity).
  • CSP 2.0: Written and practical assessment administered by CSI. Passing standard confirmed per programme framework.
  • CSL: Assessment format to be published upon programme launch.
  • CCSO: Comprehensive written examination covering all 22 capability domains. Minimum 85% pass rate required. Certificates issued within 14 working days of confirmed successful completion.

§ 3 - Validity & Renewal

  • All CSI certifications are valid for 3 years from the date of award.
  • Renewal requires completion of CSI-approved continuing professional development (CPD) or full re-assessment.
  • CPD minimum: 20 hours of relevant professional development per 3-year certification cycle.
  • Lapsed certifications may be reinstated via re-examination within 12 months of expiry.

§ 4 - Code of Conduct

  • All certified professionals must uphold the CSI Code of Conduct and act with integrity in their professional practice at all times.
  • Misrepresentation of certification status, level, or credentials is grounds for immediate revocation.
  • CSI reserves the right to revoke any certification where conduct is found to be in breach of professional ethics, CSI standards, or applicable law.

§ 5 - Recognition & Use

  • Official designations: CSCE 2.0, CSP 2.0, CSL, CCSO. These may be listed on CVs, LinkedIn profiles, and professional bios while the certification remains valid.
  • All certified professionals are listed in the CSI Certified Professionals Register for the duration of their active certification.
  • Use of CSI certification marks, logos, or designations in commercial marketing or publications requires prior written consent from CSI.

§ 6 - Pricing & Enrolment

  • CSCE 2.0: €250 per participant.
  • CSP 2.0: €750 per participant.
  • CSL: €200 per participant (programme launching 2026).
  • CCSO: €3,000 per participant. Flexible payment plan available: 8 weekly instalments of €375.
  • Bundle - CSCE 2.0 + CSP 2.0: €800 (20% saving).
  • All enrolments via sumupbookings.com/converged-security. CCSO cohorts: 1 per quarter, minimum 5 / maximum 10 participants.

§ 7 - Appeals & Complaints

  • Candidates may appeal an assessment outcome by submitting a written appeal to info@convergedsecurity.es within 30 days of receiving their result.
  • Appeals are reviewed by an independent panel with no involvement in the original assessment.
  • Decisions of the appeals panel are final and binding.
  • Complaints regarding programme delivery must be submitted in writing to info@convergedsecurity.es within 14 days of the programme end date.
